We carry the entire line of Kemper and Sculpture tools. Tools for every shaping, designing, cleaning, trimming, and measuring need and more.

Shaping  
  • Ribs (wood, metal, rubber): used for shaping, smoothing and trimming wet clay on the potter's wheel.

  • Wire Tools: used to carve clay and sgraffito work. Heavy wire is used for the end of the tool. The tapered wire loop allow for variations in stroke width.

  • Wood Modeling Tools: a wide variety of shapes and contours for clay modeling.

Designing
  • Knives: used for trimming and to cut out designs in greenware.
Fettling Knife
  • Lace Tools: used for handling lace and also for cleanup and sgraffito work.

  • Sgraffito Tools: used for carving through applied engobes and underglazes in sgraffito techniques.

  • Clean Up Tools: used to smooth slip, cleanup imperfections and seam lines in poured porcelain, and for carving.

  • Ribbon Tools: used to carve clay and sgraffito work. Flat metal is used for the end of the tool. They come in round, triangle and pear shapes. Pear shape shown.

  • Clay Cutters: wire or nylon is firmly attached to toggle handles and is used for cutting clay and separating wet clay from a bat or potter's wheel.
